Leading Climate Adaptation – Climate adaptation starts with leadership.

As of 2025, organisations across Australia are under growing pressure to demonstrate sustainability, with challenges including restricted market access, rising insurance premiums, and reduced access to credit and finance.

Join us in Launceston on 3 July 2025 for a hands-on workshop exploring your role in sustainability, carbon emissions management, and climate-related risk certification.

About the workshop

This workshop, led by Dr. Tomas Remenyi and Steve Willing, equips leaders with the knowledge and tools to drive meaningful sustainability initiatives within their organisations through interactive discussions and real-world applications. Together, they form a powerhouse duo, blending cutting-edge science with transformative leadership.

Tomas, a climate scientist, will explore Tasmania-specific climate projections, examining how environmental changes impact business operations. He will outline key corporate climate risks, including market access limitations, rising insurance premiums, and financial pressures related to sustainability and emissions reporting.

Steve, an expert in leadership and change processes, will guide participants in overcoming barriers to action, identifying spheres of influence, and implementing adaptive strategies.

Throughout the day, participants will identify the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) most relevant to their organisations and develop practical strategies to make meaningful progress.

The workshop concludes with a climate panel open to the Tasmanian community, featuring industry experts sharing insights on climate mitigation strategies, followed by a networking event to continue the conversation.
